On a wet Monday afternoon, there's nothing quite like a stop at Lucy's Chips to brighten the day! Their piping hot chips are a true delight—a perfect blend of Belgian-style flavor and the classic British chippy texture we all crave. Each bite was crispy on the outside, wonderfully soft inside, and packed with a unique flavor that stood out from the usual. The portion sizes were generous, making this spot excellent value for money. The staff were friendly, adding warmth to the whole experience despite the dreary weather. Whether you’re local or just passing through Norwich, Lucy’s Chips is a must-visit for any chip lover!

Lovely Fish & Chip Stall on Norwich Market (est 1971). I order gluten free Mini Fish deal for £6.50 and it's cooked to order. The deal comes with curry sauce and I was offered g/f gravy instead. I had a slice of lemon. Best gluten free fish I've had anywhere, really light and deliciously crisp. Great value. Friendly, helpful staff. Sitting area at the rear of the Stall (No 60). Vegan options available.

The BEST gluten free and dairy free battered sausage and chips. An amazing selection of gluten free and vegan options, proper Cumberland sausages. The gluten free + dairy free battered sausage was better than any I have had previously when I was not gluten free! Very knowledgeable staff helped me out with what I can have with my allergies. Excellent value too as usually free from items are extortionate but these were all priced at a normal rate.

Absolutely the hidden gem of eating on the go in Norwich. Such good value and so sustainability aware the old fashioned way. There's two stalls. The fish and chips one Fry's everything in veg oil and offers gluten free and vegan as well. The mushy peas stall fry in beef fat and do traditional pies and THE BEST home made mushy peas IN CROCK POTS!!! You don't have to use throwaway omgoodness it's heaven on earth Can't recommend it enough I'll give it 10/5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

nice to find somewhere that does a vegan option. Banana blossom was delicious and covered in a light batter. chips were cooked perfectly, we also had the battered samphire which was also delicious. Staff were helpful and pleasant. If you're vegan this place is definitely worth a visit.

All of the staff are lovely people, and today they made my dreams come true! A gluten free & vegan battered sausage, with chips, and home made mushy peas from their other stall. They use "This isn't" branded vegan sausages at the moment which suited me perfectly, coated in their gluten free batter. It was absolutely delicious, and the chips are gorgeous too. You can even get vegan mayo to dunk your chips. The mushy peas are sold on the other stall, just a row or two over. You have to try them, what an experience! Thanks to the team who made my day and went out of their way for us, we will be repeat customers

Good trustworthy chippy in the heart of the city centre that serves food fast, and generally tastes pretty ok. Can sometimes have a long queue at lunch though.
